HP 250GB VB0250EAVER not working after fix in ticket #442

Hi,

Apologies if I have posted in the wrong forum. I have a few drives out of some HP N36L microservers that I am trying to use in a simple setup for some light iscsi testing. According to ticket #442 http://support.freenas.org/ticket/442 the issue was fixed and included in 8.0.1b3. I have tried to use beta3 and beta4 and I still cant see the disks. Other OS's work fine, i really dont want to use another OS though. A few others over at OCAU have tried and they have the same result.

Is there something special we need to do to get these drives working?

+1 ; I'm running the B4 version and cannot see the 250Gb drive that came with the microserver

I think fix ticket #442 may not be solved

• I have a newly purchased N36L HP microserver that came with a Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 250GB 7200rpm SATA disk in Bay 1

• I have downloaded and installed freeNAS8B4 onto a thumb drive, successfully booted from it and successfully connected to the server using the GUI

• The aforementioned disk is not detected by the new kernel

Seems to be fixed in the latest nightly builds.

I am having the same issue persist, I followed the steps in http://forums.freenas.org/showthread.php?1303-Hard-drive-not-detected-by-8.0.1-beta4&p=5354 but the issue didn't clear up. I am going to try again fresh to see if I didn't mess up in the process, but at best I was able to find the USB key that FreeNas resided on.
