How to install an optical drive into FreeNAS Mini (in Ablecom case)?

I've got a FreeNAS Mini and for various reasons I want to install an optical drive in the open slot at the top of the case. There doesn't seem to be any method of securing the drive in place; there are no holes which line up with the screw holes on the drive. There are two slots underneath the drive which look like they might be able to accept tabs from a metal carrier/sled with the drive installed on it, but no such carrier was included with the system.

Has anyone succeeded in doing this?

I did, although it's not ideal: the very helpful support team at iXsystems offered to send me a 'mounting clip' from a different brand of case which they just happened to have on hand. Apparently Ablecom does not supply them, under the assumption that drives will include them, but none of the drives I've purchased have included them.
