How to give a VM access to storage?

I just upgraded to FreeNAS 11 and have installed Plex on a Ubuntu bhyve VM. What's the recommended way to give Plex access to the storage (a zvol)? Do you have to go though IP and create network shares, or is there a better way?

Best way to do this is via a NFS share.
