Dear FreeNAS community,
I again hope for your guidance. Since I installed FreeNAS 9.3.1 about a year ago I have a strange message popping up in my system log. It does not trigger an alert therefore I ignored it but when ever I have a look on my server it is bothering me. The message repeats until it gets suppresed by the system.
freenas syslog-ng[1851]: Error opening file for writing; filename='/dev/console', error='Device not configured (6)'
My knowledge about maintaining FreeNAS on the bare configuration file level is very slim (still a point I will have to look into) therefore all I were able to check is if the directory exists (they do) and changing the pool in (GUI) System/System Dataset/System Dataset pool from my storage pool to the boot pool.
I'd be very happy if anybody could give me a kick into the right direction.
Thank you very much.
Bjoern
