How to enable SMB Server-Side Copy across different datasets?

SSC is a great feature, but I've only seen it work when copying something from/to the same dataset. Copying from one dataset to another dataset in the same pool results in a normal copy operation over the network.

There should be no reason for SSC to not work across datasets, so how can I get that working?

There is a reason SSC doesn't work.. it's not supported in Samba4.. ;)

If memory serves me right the Samba group has also said it will likely never be implemented either because of something to do with Microsoft.

What is that? Those links are me showing I'm outdated. They added it in 4.1.0 apparently. Haha.

As for why it doesn't work between datasets, I don't know. Maybe a ticket at bugs.freenas.org is necessary. I don't do Windows 8+ so I don't get those features. When I want to do the equivalent of server-side copy I just do it from SSH. ;)
