I still have not done the smartctl -t command.
I did find my way back to the page where I could replace the HDD. To get there Click Storage in top menu then click on a Volume and then at the bottom of the page click on Volume Status.
I highlighted the old failed HDD moniker of 884345*** and then clicked the replace button. Then a screen came up offering me da27p2 and that is the drive I added last night.
I still have a red warning light and I think the next step is to highlight 884345*** and click detach?
And please tell me more about: Make sure you don't forget to assign the smartctl -t long/short /dev/XXXX to the new drive.
