Note: I'm not really a pro at Linux (or in this case BSD) or anything, just trying to learn it as a hobby, so please treat me like a dummy.

I have 2 users, Admin and Family.

I want to keep user Family from being able to read anything that is in the root directory. However, I want them to be restricted to their datasets which are Files, Music, and Pictures. I want to keep user Admin to have access to everything.

Open the folders in Windows Explorer, Right-Mouse Click; Select "Properties" - [Security]. Set permissions as desired there...

BTW, do you really need to make a different DataSet for each item? If you made one DataSet (say call it "MyDataSet"); then you would simply create the Folders ("Files", "Music" and "Pictures") via Windows Explorer and then set the Folder permissions there...
