How can I remove an unavailable boot mirror?

While attempting to correct the block size problem with one of my boot mirrors I replaced devices twice. The error is now gone, but I have three boot mirrors, one of which is unavailable (and no longer exists). There is an option to replace it, but not to remove it (unless I replace it - which accomplishes nothing).

I gather I can't do this through the GUI. How should it be done.

Thanks in advance.

Detach worked perfectly. Thanks.

Can you elaborate on this? I have the same problem. When I click on the unavailable boot drive, I only have the REPLACE option; which does nothing.

I just (with a backed up config) take the bad boot device out.. Typically always my external one oddly.. Either way it seems to re-mirror after that.. ZFS fixes it lol..

I'll try that if it happens again. Thanks!

In my case, the proper command to fix it was:
#zpool detach freenas-boot <drive identifier>

- Unavailable boot-mirror USB detached from system
- System booted
- Command in Shell # zpool status (shows status of pool >>>>> look-up unavailable device)
- Command in Shell # zpool detach freenas-boot xxxxxxxxxxxxxx (large No in my case)
- Command in Shell # zpool status (Mirror gone)

Worked for me !!
Thanx.
