How can I generate EC certificates with ed25519 algorithm?

In the certificate creation flow, I can see that I am able to select elliptic curve keys. However, in the EC list, I don't see ED25519 as an option.

I searched for the FreeNAS code commits, and it seems like it was added with https://github.com/freenas/freenas/commit/bf216d871713c71e677a7077e86818544a7ea1b9

If it was added before, why can I not use it? Is there something else I should be doing?

I think there've been some weaknesses discovered with ed25519 and I don't think it was ever particularly popular.
