Help with DD Command to create drive activity for LED Light

I am trying to figure out how to use DD command to create read activity on one of my hard Drives (dev/da26). I have been unable to get this to work. Below is a screen capture from the input and results. Does anyone with experience using the DD command know why its not working for me. I have also included warnings im receiving showing this drive issues which shows the drive that is affected.

So, you are doing this to identify the drive in an enclosure so it can be replaced?

Yes. When I moved to new system I didnt think to record serial #s with the slot they were installed into. Rather than shutting down the Server I was looking for a way to identify and ensure I was replacing correct drive that was failing.

What kind of enclosure is it?

Its the Norco RPC 4224.

With your help from last month I ended up finally building a new system and getting off of the Port Multiplier. In signature section details of the system build are listed. I think my problem with old system was that my older 10 bay tower had a backplane that went bad. I replaced the 2 5bay cages with more current and now that is also ready to go online. This will now allow me to have upto 44 drives on this server.
