I have a HP Microserver Gen8 (the small cube with 4 3 1/2 slots) with a 5th slot with SSD (instead of CD-ROM) where I put the FreeNAS system.
I created a bootable Micro-SD-Card which points to boot from the 5th slot with the SSD but everytime the system starts I need to hit enter to confirm to continue.

Is there a script/batch for the microserver to avoid hitting enter? Thank you!

GRUB? I thought GRUB had been deprecated back around 11.2U1.

Is that GRUB on your micro-SD card? Because if so I'm pretty sure you can configure GRUB to autoboot a selection, I'd just have to read all the documentation to figure out how, and at that point it's easier just to point you at the GRUB docs and say "have fun" ;-)

That is my weak point; I hate manuals... Hope I can contribute in another way in exchange for this information
