FreeNAS 8.0 RELEASE
I created a 4x2TB ZFS raidz pool using the GUI.
I then added a 2TB disk and a 60GB SSD through a
2 port PCI-e SATA card.
After reboot the two newly added disks were detected first
which apparently reorder the disk names.
I entered the GUI for volume creation and was suggested
TWO 2TB disks that were "available". ?:-/
According to the information I have, ZFS is pretty much
immune to disk reordering thanks to meta-data written on the disks...
So the question remains:
HOW does the GUI determine WHAT disks are available
for creating new volumes???
Or is this a known problem and some script has to be run to
bring the GUI in sync with the ZFS pool?
Hoping for answers :)
