Hi all,

Stupid newb question: I want to have a share (which I'll call "glob"), which will have home directories for users Foo, Bar and Baz, but also a common directory for guests to access. Foo, Bar and Baz should also be able to access the contents of common, but not each other.

eg. I want Foo to be able to access glob/foo and glob/common, but not glob/bar or glob/baz.

I have tried to set this up by creating volume glob which belongs to group "user", and share glob is set to allow guest access, with path mnt/glob/. Foo, Bar, Baz and guest are members of "user", with home directories mnt/glob/foo, mnt/glob/bar, mnt/glob/baz and mnt/glob/common respectively. Guest is also a member of auxiliary group "guest". Guest is set to have no password.

In practice, Foo, Bar and Baz can access their shares just fine, but attempting to log in as guest fails.

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong, or how I should set this up?

Haven't done any research on it yet but I anticipate needing to soon.
