I work for a Christian organisation in Jerusalem Israel,

We have 4 Mac users who edit a magazine about our charity. They currently use an old Mac G5 tower as a file server

We also have one Mac user who shoots and edits videos, he has no centralised storage at all, just a collection of different external hard drives.

I want to build two Hp Microservers with FreeNAS and 6Tb (3x 3Tb in RAID5 I think) of storage for each department.

Have built mock ups using virtual machines and scruffy old PCs but struggling to understand setting up Mac permissions as a I am Windows guy!

Welcome to the forum! I'd recommend you go to the noob section and make a post with what you did and what messages you got and what didn't work. There's some links around here if you do some searching on AFP and how to set it up.
