Getting FileSystem Events/Notification

We are in need of capturing FileSystem events. File added, Moved, deleted, renamed. Is this possible?

Thanks for the quick response -- For linux we use inotify. Reading a bit on kqueue and scalability. Has anyone tried this with 2million+ files?

auditd is able to do this, but AFAIK, it isn't something that's really within the FreeNAS framework.

Yes. kqueue will open a fd for every file being monitored. This does not scale.
