Hi all,

I'm trying to use ChronoSync to back up my Mac hard disk to my FreeNAS box. This worked fine for about 2GB of data, then this error came up:

[2014-04-17 11:10:52 +0200] *** Error: Error Code: -1407
[2014-04-17 11:10:52 +0200] Occurred while copying to file:
[2014-04-17 11:10:52 +0200] /Volumes/Nemesis/Backups/ChronoSync/MacBookProBanctec/.Spotlight-V100/Store-V2/037BC8D8-CD23-44AD-AB15-E41C0851D05D/Cache/0000/0000/0007/.0486189.txt
the backup was done over a wired gigabit network.
A search for this error number brings up zilch; the only document I found - a reference document on errors from 1 to 32000 posted by Apple Support - has a non-working link to errors with a negative sign before them.
Does anyone know what this error means?
I can't find anything in Console that helps me, certainly not doing a search for ChronoSync, nor does Console contain any entries that have "1407" in them. Also, re-starting the backup process seems to make it move on...
Since my time machine backup to the FreeNAS box also failed today (time machine told me it would have to re-do the entire backup), I'm starting to wonder if my box has issues. Strangely enough, I get no warnings or errors from the box that match... (actually, none at all).

Anything else in /var/log/messages that deals with network errors?

its the .abc text file doing it.

If you're using time machine, tell it to exclude the spotlight index data while backing up to the FreeNAS box.
