Hello all,

I have two questions for you today. Firstly, with full disk encryption can I specify anywhere in the settings to use a 512 bit encryption vs a 256 bit? I understand that this would be very taxing on my CPU and I know I have enough processing power on the box to handle it. Lastly, how can I use iSCSI with full disk encryption? Can I just encrypt it and then iSCSI the directory?

Thanks,

I'm not really an expert on iSCSI, but it's a "block" level file system vs. a "file" based file system. What this means is that you can't simply designate an existing folder to be ISCSI. It's basically like having a virtual hard drive attached to another machine, which is formatted and controlled directly by it. I think full disk encryption is possible but you have to designate it when you're creating the iSCSI drive.

A block level storage device. Think of it as roughly similar to an external USB drive in many ways.
