Freshly installed FreeNAS 11.1 does not boot

New FreeNAS user here

created the installer using Rufus, and followed the steps on the user guide to install to another USB drive

when I finished installing and tried to reboot, I get stuck on this page, instead of bringing me to the Console setup

I have tried multiple USB drives too

is my system not compatible?

old HP desktop

Does pressing Ctrl+c at that point resume the boot process or does it just freeze?

Does anything at http://doc.freenas.org/11/install.html#installation-troubleshooting resolve the issue?

Is this statement true for your system?
FreeNAS® boots from a GPT partition. This means that the system BIOS must be able to boot using either the legacy BIOS firmware interface or EFI.
