FreeNAS won't delete old snapshot

Some problems were introduced in 9.3.1, and the recent stable update (FreeNAS-9.3-STABLE-201509160044) does not appear to have fixed them. First, the GUI reports that the last snapshot sent to remote side is 2015-08-26 (before I got 9.3.1). That is not correct, as my daily snapshots are showing up on the remote side.

More importantly, FreeNAS won't delete the snapshots from that date on the source or destination (they should live 2 weeks), and nothing happens when I try to delete them manually in the GUI. Newer snapshots older than 2 weeks seem to be deleted automatically as they should.

Should I try to do it in command line?

Thanks. I find the bug discussions pretty impossible to understand, so not eager to file one. However, I did get the idea from Xin Li's recommendation to release holds on the old ones:
zfs release -r freenas:repl <snapshot>

The ones on the source volume disappeared on their own as soon as I released the holds, and the ones on the destination didn't have holds so I just used zfs destroy. All gone.
