Brent look at rule # 3 on the Forum Rules and include the all the items in 1&2. This is what cyberjock and I have requested from you.

Since you're in the process of ordering drives, it sounds like you might be jumping the bit. Have you read
cyberjock's guide? Also read up on the official FreeNAS documentation

If you're following the Lifehacker article about turning an old pc into a NAS, while it refers to "FreeNAS", in reality, they are talking about NAS4Free. That article says that you can use "A PC with a minimum of 192MB RAM".

That's not the case with FreeNAS, which has much higher RAM requirements. For UFS, 2Gb is probably adequate, but for ZFS, you'll need a minimum of 8Gb.

Please excuse me, I'm trying to get things prepped and ready, and I figured most of the instructions should be relatively the same, I shall take a look over the documentation (been reading somewhat through the day/night)
Once again, please excuse me, quite excited to not be doing web design at the moment so..yeah...
Thanks
Brent.

My Solution:
Firstly, I restarted the whole process (restored to factory deafults)
This is the process I did after that:
(I'l lstart from when I got to the WEBGui)
- Changed Admin Account Name/Password
- Users - Add User - Enter basic stuff
- Storage - Volumes - View Volumes - UFS Volume Manager (I had problems with the ZFS?)
- Volumes - Change Permissions - Owner (user): root; Owner(group): "YourUser"
- Sharing - Add Windows (CIFS) Share - Fill in Basics...
-Services - Control Services - Turns CIFS ON; SSH ON

This is all I did...than on my other machine went into Network types in, "\\freenas"
and than mapped a network drive to my folder (I called it music...)

I know I suck at the whole tutorial thing...but, if anyone that can edit it can make it easier..than...go ahead (I don't know how to reproduce the error I was receiving or whatever, but, ^ is all I did and I can now use it...)
