FreeNas is rock solid when I l0ok at the stability of my ZFS system on 3 Western Digital Red One TByte drives!

But I recently physically moved the FreeNas box from one household router to another. (192.168.88.0/24 to another router 192.168.1.0/24).

And now that I am trying to install the plugin "PLEX", I have an endless PYTHON loop running...

No need to look at the entire log below. My point is that the PLEX plugin wants to find a legacy IP gateway that is in my database even though the GUI does NOT show any evidence of this crud still hanging around...

This is my version:
FreeBSD freenas.qhl 9.3-RELEASE-p5 FreeBSD 9.3-RELEASE-p5 #0 3b4abc3: Sun Dec 14 12:56:11 PST 2014

The remote syslog for freenas shows:

Does the gateway setting in the gui help fix your issue?

Darn I was hoping that would fix it. Maybe you can edit /etc/resolve.conf to use the new gateway. I don't like this manual edit but it's all I can think of since I'm not entirely sure how jails get there networking configuration.

My resolv.conf is:

search abc
nameserver 192.168.1.1
nameserver 8.8.8.8
nameserver 8.8.4.4

where 'abc' is the actual domain suffix for my LAN in my house ABC.

Another interesting note is that I have 3 dangling jails...

I don't even know what a jail is in the context of FreeNas but I do know that I have 3 listed and I need to delete them.

plexmediaserver_1
plexmediaserver_2
plexmediaserver_3

Obviously these objects are not relevant other than that I am guessing they need to be deleted.

Do I need to learn how to use SQLITE3 at the command line to get this mess cleaned up ?

Do you know how you ended up with three jails in the first place? I would not go messing around at the command line level if you don't understand the system. You will do more harm than good.

Some additional information might be helpful:
When you moved your system, did you try to change an existing jail or did you create a new one? If updating an existing jail, was it created in 9.2 (or earlier) or in 9.3? Was it created by hand or through the GUI?

Yes. I am sure that the 3 jails were created because of me 'clicking' on the Install button for Plex. Each time that it timed out at 3/4 I killed it and tried again. I know. Dumb. But I did not know that a loop was invoked until I brought up the remote syslog viewer.

And the jails were just magically created.

Also, the original FreeNas ZFS array (if you could call it that - I hate to infer that ZFS is like crappy old RAID) was created under 9.2.1.6 and I did upgrade to 9.3 and then bring in the old 'db' file.

Maybe there is where things are going screwy .
