FreeNAS on Chromebox?

Is there a tutorial or guide explaining how to install FreeNAS on a Chromebox?

Ideally, I would like to overwrite the ChromeOS with FreeNAS, but have the capability to revert back by reinstalling ChromeOS at some point in the future. I have a Samsung Series 3 Chromebox with i5 processor, 8 GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. I thought I would connect a two-bay RAID system via USB to the Chromebox. Any guidance would be appreciated.

You could do something like this and use the FreeNAS ISO, but like Matthew said I wouldn't recommend it, or maybe just for fun :)

To be honest, I expected worse. However:

• No ECC makes for a crummy solution
• 8 GB of RAM is barely enough
• USB for reliable storage is a crapshoot
