I have a virtual freenas setup. The ssd that freenas was installed in died. The disks are still good. If I reinstall freenas can I connect my disk back the the new install?

If so how can I do this or what options do I have to recover the data?

the data is stored in 12 disks on zfs with 2vdevs

thanks

I believe you are saying:

You installed FreeNAS on an SSD, and your data is stored on two vdevs, each of which has 6 disks. Your SSD died. If you make a new boot device with FreeNAS on it, are you going to be ok?

If that is what you're saying:

Yes. You're fine. Make a new bootable FreeNAS fresh. Once you boot into that, you can "import" your pool easily from the storage screen. Some Googling, and you can even restore your old configuration (the config file is stored in your pool in most cases).

Recommend that you obtain the same version of FreeNAS that you had before, however. If you need help finding install .iso for a specific version, let us know, and we'll direct you.

The answer is always yes, except for nightlies after a while and some ancient 8.x releases.
