Hi
I have Freenas 11.3 installed on a SSD drive connected directly to the Mb.
The MB has only 2 sata port.. so I have installed an additional sata controller Sil 3132.
After Freenas starts the disk connected to the SIL 3132 works fine.

My questione is Can I move Freenas ssd to the SIL 3132 and start from it?

I think the general thoughts regarding SATA controllers are that they should be avoided like the plague...

It's more a question for your BIOS than for us... if the BIOS allows setting the boot order to use that disk, it should work.

It's most specifically Marvell SATA controllers that are to be avoided, but in general using an HBA is best and usually not more expensive if you buy second hand parts.
