I have downloaded and installed Veeam 9. I am wondering what is the best type of Share to use for Veeam repositories. Should I use NFS, iSCSI or ... Any setup suggestion or a guide would greatly be appreciated.

Hi there,

in my previous company they used massive SMB shares on dedicated storage devices for the Veeam repositories.
With that solution they are currently backing up around 1200VMs. :D

Any of the solutions may work for you.
If you want to use iSCSI you will just need to provide the proper resources to receive good performance. ;)

If you do, please make sure that you follow all "iSCSI and block storage on CoW filesystems" best practices described in the forums here, else your performance will be abysmal ;)
