Hi all. I'm new to this forum and i already have tricky problem in hands for you :)

I just bought a MINI ITX ATOM D2500HN ( http://bimg1.mlstatic.com/lancament...m-dual-186ghz-box_MLB-F-2796822069_062012.jpg ) and i can't make FREENAS 8 64BIT (any version) to work on it. It hangs on boot when it gets to the ASCII freenas part and the code renders all in the same line making no sense at all and it gets no where. This is a 64bit cpu for sure by the way.

Freenas 32bit works fine. After googling i was able o finds this http://forums.freenas.org/showthread.php?7391-FreeNas-8-64-bit-install-problems but no solution was given so i hope that anyone could give me a hint on what to do!

I'm using a usb 8gb flash drive. I have tried with other flashdrives but the problem persists. I had no issue whatsoever in my previous setup which was an athlon 64 3000+.

Any ideia?

Ok after a little digging around i found the source of the problem but i wasn't still able to get a fix for it. Seems that the GMA 3600 gpu has issues with the 64bit version of freenas as i was able to boot it just fine with a pci video card. Other people had already complianed that freebsd 64 doesn't work as it should on this gpu.

Do any of you know a way to fix this?

If not seems that i will be limited to the 32bit version of freenas and 3gb instead of 4gb although i believe it should be enough for two singles UFS hdds. Still i hope the freenas developers find a way to fix this!
