format command not found ...

Hy

I am currently finishing my installation of FreeNAS 8.3 and I want to create a zpool in RAIDZ2 and add a ZIL (mirrored). But when I run the format command (to be able to know the drive's name available), the system tell me that the command was not found.
Can I run another command to see the proper driver denomination or should I run the format command with a specific path ?

I suggest you to read the FreeBSD Handbook.

the command list all drive with the specific sun denomination cXtYdZ ...

I managed to do what I want with the webGUI after re create the zpool. But could you assign or see the drives names after there were add to a zpool in order to run
