I am currently looking into an Intel Atom (in the 25W range .. like C3858, 12C/12T, 25W TDP) NAS Build with 4x 3.5" WD Red NAS HDD's, 1x M2 NVMe SSD, 10Gbe (either onboard like with a Supermicro A2SDI-TP8F or with a Mellanox ConnectX-3 40Gbe PCIe Card).

As I estimate the Idle consumption somewhere between 40-50W I was wondering in terms of PSU what would be the better choice. Looking at efficiency (low added Watt consumption) + long term durability.

For that I can go up to Flex-ATX with my current 3D Printed Case plans ... and I am torn between those two options:

FSP FlexGURU 300W, Flex-ATX (FSP300-57FCB / PPA3004300)

Impactics 84W AC-DC Adapter inkl. 130W Wandlerplatine
(https://geizhals.eu/impactics-84w-ac-dc-adapter-inkl-130w-wandlerplatine-ints84130-1-a1151742.html)

Would the 84W Impactics "PicoPSU" be sufficient? I read it also uses FSP components. Currently I am leaning more towards the FSP 300W ... because longer warranty.

Go with the 300W. Your NICs will draw too much power on top of your system for the pico PSU to handle.
