You wouldn't put a feature request here because the developers are not certain to see it. They do stop in time to time, but not with regularity and when they do it is more to answer questions than search for feature requests.

As for the format, I don't think they are super tough on that as long as you explain yourself well. You might also want to search to see if someone else already asked for what you are looking to get. They have several things that are planned and a limited number of developers working on them.
