Hi there. Just built my first NAS, and i have som problems with my fans. In my BIOS i have the fans set to a constant speed (called "level 3") of ~800rpm, despite this the fans mysteriously go up to full speed (i guess) after an hour of runtime.
The weird thing though is that when they're set to level 1 in BIOS (~700rpm) they stay at that speed for as long as i've noticed, which is about 24h.
Software: FreeNAS-9.2.1.2-RELEASE-x64
Hardware:
3x Arctic F12 PWM 120mm
ASRock C2550D4I
Silverstone DS380
Silverstone SFX ST45SF-G 450W
5x WD Red WD30EFRX 64MB 3TB (5 connected)
3x WD Green WD30EZRX 64MB 3TB (0 connected)
Corsair Vengeance Low Profile DDR3 PC12800/1600MHz CL9 2x4GB (CML8GX3M2A1600C9) (will replace these soon)
