SOLVED "Failed to retrieve share list from server: Connection timed out" after UPDATE to 11.2-U5

Before the update I would follow the directions to enable SMB1 every time I rebooted the machine. Described Here

sysctl freenas.services.smb.config.server_min_protocol=NT1

After the update, I could not get the shares to show up on my computer running Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS or a Raspberry Pi running Raspbian OS.

I followed a suggestion by "Visseroth" in this thread and still nothing. Thread with same error click here

My current Freenas version is 11.2-U5

Any help or guidance is appreciated. Thank you.

Under Services>SMB>Configure, I found the option to enable SMB1 support. I didn't see it before the update.

Anywho, it seems to have fixed my issues.

Yes, we decided that a checkbox was _much_ clearer than using a sysctl for this. It should have automatically migrated your sysctl to the checkbox on upgrade. :/
