Hi Guys

Please help me. I am trying to install a emulex lpe1150-e fiber card on freenas.
Does it list under network interfaces if it detect it?

thanks

Nobody that can help me? How do I know if freenas actually detected the card?

Go into the command line and type ifconfig and see what shows up.

You will be looking for something like isp0 however from what I have been reading the board is not well supported by FreeBSD which is what FreeNAS is based on so it may not work at all. https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/55029/

thanks for the reply.
if I do ifconfig I don't see isp0.
if I do lspci -s 01:00.0 I get
[root@freenas ~]# lspci -s 01:00.0
01:00.0 Fibre Channel: Emulex Corporation Zephyr LightPulse Fibre Channel Host A
dapter (rev 02)

So, does the fact that I don't see it in ifconfig mean its not working?

Posting the ifconfig would help... Click on the "code" button above and put the information in between the tags.

Sadly to say I don't think it is going to work. I have to go with the previous statement that the board is not well supported and I don't see it listed as an even potential interface.

Hopefully you didn't pay much for it, can return it, or have a windows box you can use it in.
