drive shows full

I have set up a freeNas box with freeNas 9.1, and have setup my drives and windows share, now on all my windows machines one drive shows full or almost full , with no files on it, how do I clear the capacity of the drive. what it shows when I point my mouse to the shared drive in my conputer on windows, xp, 7 etc is drive F capacity is 488 gb, used 416 gb, and there is nothing on the drive, the drive is a 500gb drive, because the drive reads as 416 gb, used cannot add files to it, how do I fix this?
