doc freenas not possible with ubuntu 11.10

hi everyone,

just for informations i didn't find the place to post on the wiki...

i tried to install freenas 8 (nightly) image to my usb drive like it was mentionned in this page -->

but it always return error...(permission not accorded with sudo ...?)

i have to extract the file from the xz archive before doing fully dd command to perform the installation.

dd if=extractedfile of=/usbdrive bs=64k

maybe this post could hep someone.
