Hello..
First of all guys I am pretty new to freenas / BSD, normally a windows guy.
I have virtulized an installed of freenas setup is;
Server 2012
16 cores 80 GB of ram
some storage presented via LSI raid controllers.
Virtual Machine config is
Current version of Freenas 10.2.
2 virtual network adapters
1 CPU
4 GB of ram
an IDE boot device
an SCSI storage disk.
all disks are vhdx and thin provisioned.
- I understand people do not like virtulised storage solutions but this is only my dev environment at my house and wanted something to be setup so I could play around with it.
-It will eventually be used as NFS and ISCSI
When the Vm is booting I can see the disks being detected and located, once the vm has booted the da1 disk disappears.
If I run dmesg it shows
da1 at storevsc1 etc
da1 msft virtual disk
da1 300mbs
da1 25600mb
da1 msft virtual disk detached.
gpart show only shows one disk
Ideas?
Thanks
