Hello

I'm coming from a Supermicro 826TQ-563LPB 8 bay enclosure populated with 8x4TB WD Reds. We recently purchase 6x8TB Reds and are planning to expand the existing storage. I'm getting a great deal on a Supermicro 846TQ and 846E26 model. What are the differences between the two if they were being offered to me at the same price? Thanks in advance!

At first glance, I'd expect them to be the "holy crap, this wiring could instill fear in Satan himself" backplane with individual SATA connectors (TQ) and the backplane with an expander.

Right, a quick glance into Supermicro's product pages confirms that.

Definitely get the E26 version.
