I just deleted about 1Tb of data and noticed that it does not show up in the FreeNAS Ui as free for that dataset. Also Zpool status isnt showing the correct space after the deletion. (no update after removing the data via NFS mount).

So far I searched for a .trash-1000 file (didnt find one)
Deleted with Shift + Del in Ubuntu UI (NFS mount is to Ubuntu)
Shutdown all other machine accessing the NFS mount.

crypt is 3.9T however in the Gui its showing 5.1T

What else is there to try?
Thanks!

I think we will need more information on this one. What type of data, pictures, videos, documents, vm's?

Have you looked at what all is being stored in the locations to see what the files sizes are and if they are being removed?

Basically right now you are showing what you think is a problem and saying, "Fix it" so you are going to have to help us to help you.

Got ya, didnt realized the data type mattered. The data is video from a DVR (Unifi Video), this is effectively its archive. When I look at the directory in Ubuntu, as well as when I look at it though the Shell of FreeNAS the files are in fact gone.

When I do a du -sh on /mnt/DeepEnd/ZHall it reports 3.9T not 5.1 as reported in the FreeNAS Gui.

Also verified DU shows the correct size in relation to other directories on my system. "Vault" and "Bucket"

Last night before I went to sleep I started a scrub even though one ran like 4 days ago. Either that scrub did something to fix the space, or when I ran zfs list it updated something eitherway it is now reporting correctly.

Was likely cached in your browser. If you're ever unsure open a new private window with chrome or firefox to verify.

It was not an issue with cache, I opened Incognito at first thinking the same. You can also see the issue in my first Zpool list command..

Before:

Now its working...
