Cronjob command to empty a folder?

find /mnt/path -mtime +30 | xargs rm -rf


Would this work? Deletes everything older than 30 days.

Why pipe it to xargs when there is a -delete flag?

Also, the method in the OP won't handle files/directories with spaces (and other characters) in them. This can be worked around, but the delete option suggested by @m0nkey_ is probably better.
