I have a jail with a permanent VPN which will periodically seem to disconnect and not want to reconnect until I restart the jail. I've tried everything to get it working without putting in a daily reboot, but I can't figure it out.
Anyway... at the moment, I have a script, running from outside the jail:
/etc/rc.d/jail onestop jailname
/etc/rc.d/jail onestart jailname
While this script does technically work, it will sometimes fail to dismount the jail's dataset and so fails.
I have tried just restarting the jail's service from within itself, but it seems to need a 'full restart'.
Is there anything else I can try to force a reboot every day? As if I pressed the restart button from the GUI?
