Creating pool with script

Does FreeNAS support any kind of scripting? For development, I am frequently creating and destroying pools. With many nested vdevs this can be time-consuming to repeat the same process using the GUI. If I create a pool using the command-line then FreeNAS does not recognize it. So is there any way to automate the process of creating pools in a way that FreeNAS will understand?

You could use the API: http://api.freenas.org/.

It will once you export it and then use the GUI to import it.
