I'm getting frustrated.
I have been trying to install Crashplan backup on my NAS for ages and im now stuck at this (at bottom)

when i type inn the password for my crashplan user it seems that it wont accept my key

read around on google that ssh-copy-id will help but:

ssh-copy-id: Command not found.

I need help to continue. ive tried many things but nothing works

The password won't be what you use to log in to your Crashplan account online, it'll be for the local user that Crashplan runs as. Can you get into the jail via jexec? Once there, you can change the crashplan user's password with 'passwd crashplan'.

Also, ssh-copy-id not being found on your local system just means you don't have that script. But you don't need to use it to get your key on the remote system. You can just append your public key to the end of the authorized_keys file in ~crashplan/.ssh/ in the crashplan jail.

when creating a user in jail and is trying to ssh ports like i do. what IP do i have to use. do i have to use the jail IP or the NAS IPp

also. how can i show a list of users?
i want to delete a user that i dont want there. didnt find any on the google for showing and removing users in jail

The tunnel that you're creating is meant to connect your local machine where you're going to run the Crashplan GUI to the jail where the Crashplan service is running, so you want to run that command on your local machine and use the IP of the jail.

The jail is basically a regular FreeBSD environment, so don't bother searching for "jail remove user". Instead search for "FreeBSD remove user".

Finally, it seems like you're new to all this. If I'm not mistaken in that assumption, you should probably read up on some command line basics before you start doing too much. In general, be very careful and don't be afraid to ask questions. In fact, assume that the command that you think you know what it's going to do, is actually going to wipe all your data. ;-)

Yes i'm a bit new but i have been able to install mysql and run it with xbmc. (easy)
what i want is now to setup backup to crashplan with a headless raspi. And so far my raspi is almost done.
and i'm reading a lot these days.
