I've tried searching for this issue but haven't found a solution.
I just got an HP Microserver N40L. I have installed two 2TB drives in bays 2 & 3 and set them to raid 1 while leaving the supplied 250gb by itself. I have set the drive control to raid in the bios. I haven't made any other upgrades yet.
The issue is that I have installed FreeNAS 8 to a USB stick(4gb SanDisk Cruiser). I seem to be able to install fine but when I boot the microserver from the drive it gets to a screen which states some options(1. FreeBSD, 2. Free BSD, 3. drive, 4, PSX) but then it just reboots the system and does the process again. It has never actually loaded any further. If I press 1 I get command line, if I press 3 the screen starts filling with #'s. I have my USB set to be as a hard drive in the bios. I'm trying the 64bit iso(multimedia) and image file when creating the usb but both gave the same result.
Can anyone offer any advice?
