I had an issue with my usb boot drive. I reinstalled FreeNAS and imported my volume. However my iSCSI target did not import. I created a zvol and device extent. I set the sector size to 512b (i do not know what the previous size was). I connect windows to the iSCSI drive and it showed as it needed initialized. I did not initialize the drive, but I did let a recovery program scan the drive. It found nothing. Is there any way to fix the issue. I am running FreeNAS 9.10.
I appreciate any insight that you can provide,
Brian

Which version did you upgrade from and which version did you upgrade to?

I was on FreeNAS 9.10 when the boot drive crashed. I then installed Corral (like an idiot). When I didn't see the ISCSI share, I installed 9.10 on a new flash drive and imported the volume.

Just to clarify, now that you're back on 9.10, you still can't see the iSCSI share? Did you also restore your 9.10 config?

You will need to recreate your config then. However, your zvols should still be there if you were using device extents.

Maybe there's still a backup in the system dataset?
