Confused about adding a disk

I looked and didn't see this posted anywhere. I'm very new to Truenas, and installed SCALE with 2 disks (1 Tb each) that are in a mirrored configuration. I have read a thread about adding a 3rd disk to a mirror pool, however that isn't what I would like to do. I would like to reconfigure the pool to a raidz. How do I do this? Thanks!

You don't. You would need to destroy the pool and create a new one from scratch.

You cannot convert vdevs between types (RAIDZ / DRAID / mirrors), nor can you remove vdevs from any pool that contains RAIDZ or DRAID vdevs - except of course for L2ARC and SLOG devices, which can always be added or removed.

If you have a good backup of your data (or just don't care about it), you could detach one disk from the mirror, use that and the new disk to create a degraded RAIDZ1 pool (not that we recommend RAIDZ1 pools; we generally don't), migrate the data to that pool, and then resilver the remaining disk from the mirror into the new pool. Tricky, and involves a good bit of CLI-fu, but it could be done. There's a resource on creating a degraded pool:

Thanks for the replies, greatly appreciate it. I don't have a lot on it, so it would be just easier to destroy the pool and start over I guess.
Thanks!
