Hello starting a new freenas build with the available hardware.
2x Intel Xeon E5-2690
384gb of ecc ram
2x 100gb sdd for the OS. Mirrored?
3x 500gb SSD
8x 10tb spinning disks
2x10gb nics
I know this system should have plenty of power and I would like to harness it. I want to ensure I have 40tb of space but I am not sure what is the equivalent of raid 10. I'm also not sure of the best way to use the three SSD drives as a cache.
The use case of this server is
1. Feed an esxi cluster
2. Provide data storage of video so large files
3. I do not intend to run vm on this server as I do that on the cluster.
So how do I make this system run with fast storage and have some level of redundant storage?
