About a month ago, I posted a build question and was eventually pointed to the HP G7 N54L Microserver. All I would have to do is add RAM and drives. I've been waiting for a deal on Newegg, but haven't seen one good enough to make it worth buying, yet. While I was waiting, I found a build on technutz. Even with a deal for the HP Microserver, the build on technutz is still cheaper. I'm curious if that build is using good products. I plan to use it for back up of 2 laptops (which will multiply as my children grow) and media streaming.

Option 1:
HP G7 N54L Microserver
Kensington RAM

Option 2:
ECS Elitegroup Mini ITX
Crucial 8GB Single DDR3 1333
Chenbro Compact Server Chassis

I've left out the drives, since I'll use the same drives for either build. Thank you in advance.

Matthew,

Just saw a deal for a N54L from NewEgg. Cost ~$261 with a promo code.
