the synchronization with the Amazon S3 bucket works perfectly, the data arrives encrypted at Amazon. But how does the way back work? Is there a tool-based option to view the contents of the Amazon S3 bucket unencrypted? How is a restore of the data designed?

Thanks and Regards!

You can set up a second cloud sync task to pull data from the S3 bucket to your FreeNAS. In the cloud sync task, just set the Direction drop-down to 'Pull'.

There are probably 3rd party tools to browse an S3 bucket if you want to pull individual objects, but nothing like that comes packaged with FreeNAS as far as I know.

I have to come up again with this pretty old thread, but I currently have the same situation.

Is there any way to get such files decrypted without TrueNAS?
I mean, without the pull task.
Because in my situation I need to pull ~15GB of data, just to get a single file of some megabyte.

My Idea was to download the single file from remote cloud (just like GDrive) and encrypt it. But how?! :/
