Hello.

So I've installed ownCloud plugin, still experimenting around.

Is there a way to backup server settings to cloud? Or is it mainly to upload the files from the server?

Is there an option to set it to do it on periodic basis or is there a different cloud plugin that can do it?

Edit: Also can I backup snapshots to cloud?

You can automate the backup of your FreeNAS config file, simply copy /data/FreeNAS-v1.db to another location. If you search the forums, others have provided scripts to do this.

As for backing up snapshots in the cloud, there are some providers out there that support ZFS snapshots, however they can be quite expensive. Rsync.net is one of them.

I might be wrong, but I thought ownCloud/nextcloud could use Google as a storage backend
