I have setup CIFS share on my FreeNas, and set user access for Owner, Group, etc...
Everything is going smoothly when I access FreeNas from Windows by entering ip address (\\ipaddress). Users can access shared folders according to their permissions.
But when I access Freenas by entering hostname (\\hostname) I can only access shared folder with "Allow Guest Access" option checked. Other folders are visible, and gives me username/password dialog when I open them but after entering username and password, Windows prompts that "Share is not accessible, You may not have permission to use this network resource..."
Since all of my users are accessing via hostname, this is huge problem for me. Any help will be welcome.
Thanks!
Ivan.
