Hello everybody,
finally on FreeNAS!
I'm an Italian guy living in Dubai (sorry for my bad English!!!) that just approach FreeNAS for home media storage and streaming

I've used QNAP NAS in the last 2 years but unfortunately i ran out the space! (12Tb only)
So I just bought some pieces of hardware for my new FreeNAS server:
- Chassis: Supermicro 4U SuperChassis 743T-665B (Suuuper-Quite!)
- Mobo: Supermicro X10SL7 (nice integrated SAS controller!)
- Proc: Intel Xeon E3-1230v3 Haswell (enough!)
- RAM: 2x8Tb Kingston 1600 ECC (enough for the moment!)
- HDD storage: Seagate 4x2Tb (Raidz2) + 5x4Tb (Raidz)
- SSD for ZIL/L2ARC: Not needed (I guess)

So for the moment i didn't play too much...just finish to install...but the idea is to migrate everything from the QNAP and after keep it for rsync

This is the first time for me with both ZFS and FreeBSD...do you have any comment/suggestion?

I will probably request some help to this forum in the next few days :)
